What’s Going On
Awhile back my mother and father were taken prisoner. I have some leads but whether or not they are alive or dead is still a mystery to me. I need to take a very long trip to be certain, and I’m trying to find a way via portal technology to make that trip much shorter. I am making progress but it is slow.
And I’ve been stalling. The uncertainty gives me peace of mind. Fear of actually knowing the truth of their demise stops me from going forward. I feel awful about it, perhaps a good child would have put more effort into it, but I am afraid.
On the other hand, if I find them, they are still alive and I rescue them, will they be happy to see their robot ‘son’ or not? My mother may… but my father? I doubt that. I forgave him for what he did to me long ago, and I forgive him for how he views me, but that certainly doesn’t stop him from feeling the way he does.
Maybe years apart has given him a new outlook, or he has forgotten me entirely. I love them both so much, but I am not certain if they love me. I’ll get back to work now.
